We are pleased to announce that in collaboration with the Office of the Provost for Faculty and Staff, we have moved this resource to a more central location that should be more accessible to new and prospective faculty. You can find it on the Provost’s website: Resources for New Faculty and Staff.
Welcome! This website provides scholars visiting UW–Madison to interview for faculty positions, those considering offers, and newly hired faculty with information about UW–Madison and the Madison community. Please feel free to contact any of the offices or individuals listed here for more information about programs and resources.
A note on terminology: In some links to campus and UW System web pages the terms “unclassified employees” or “employees covered by the Wisconsin Retirement System” are used — they refer to faculty and to “academic staff” positions. “Academic staff” members include researchers, instructors, and other positions in outreach and student services.
Because links and resources change regularly, please contact us to make suggestions for additions and notify us of corrections and/or broken links.
