Denice Denton Memorial Fund

Make a gift

Since her death in 2006, the Denice Denton Memorial Fund has been honoring the lifelong work of Denice Denton as a leader, a scholar, an educator, a mentor, an advocate, and a community builder.  The fund was established by Drs. Vicki Bier, Susan Millar, Amy Wendt, and Lydia Zepeda as a way to continue her legacy and work at UW–‍Madison.  For the first decade, the Fund created nine community-wide events, bringing together scholars from throughout the U.S. to speak about issues close to Denice’s heart and to mentor current students and faculty.  Currently, the fund focuses on promoting promising scholars currently underrepresented in Engineering fields who, like Denice, are working to improve the diversity, climate, and educational innovation of the Engineering fields.

We hope you will continue to support the work and legacy of our dear friend and colleague.

Sincerely,

Vicki Bier, Amy Wendt, and Jennifer Sheridan
